We cut our teeth at a digital agency, building software for clients across different industries, under tight deadlines, with real budgets. That's where we learned how to scope properly, communicate clearly, and ship things that actually work.

SaaS builder

We've also built a SaaS product from the ground up, from the first line of code to paying customers. That means we understand the full lifecycle: architecture decisions that compound, technical debt that slows you down, and what it takes to keep a product running reliably at scale.

Who You'll Work With

Aaron Taylor

Founder & Principal Engineer

Aaron has spent over 20 years building software, but he'll be the first to tell you he still gets a buzz from seeing a project come together.

Before founding Tano, he spent 14 years at Efinity Digital in New Plymouth and its SaaS offshoot Trackit Energy. That meant everything from shipping client projects under real deadlines to building and scaling a product from scratch. It's where he learned that the best software comes from genuinely understanding the people who use it.

He started Tano because he wanted a new challenge and the freedom to work directly with the businesses he builds for. Every project gets his direct involvement, backed by a wider network of specialists when the work calls for it.

When he's not coding, you'll find him on the football pitch, behind a sim racing wheel, or spending time with family and friends.
